And since the Wiimote + Nunchuk is my current favourite controller setup, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better interface for the Switch. I love the hardware. I love the software. It's just that price tag and the online paywall I'm not a fan of.

The console's pricetag isn't unreasonable for what the console does. The rest of the pricing (accessories, paid online), I agree with you. But when it comes to paid online, I'll reserve judgment for when they reveal what will be included with the subscription, and how much it will cost per year.
