Splatoon has been a massive success, but outside of the people who did get to play it, it actually isn't all that mainstream. I think Nintendo should (and is going to) push Splatoon 2 very hard, because it can do much better than what it has so far - I think for a lot of people, this game will be their introduction to the franchise, and from then on it can only take off even more than it has.

I agree. It's a very TF vs TF2 situation.
