Well, two of the most notable third-party games coming to the Switch are a port of a 6 year old game and a port of a 26 year old game.

Read my last sentence again. The best system seller and most popular 8th gen game is also a port. People actually care about GTA V and Skyrim to this day. I don't know why, but that's the reason those do matter. I wanna say Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be another case of that happening, but we can't tell until April.

Also, what's the 26 year old port?
