I whole heartedly agree. This whole "defend Nintendo to the death" thing is so strange to see. Sometimes companies need to change, and this diehard fanbase gives Nintendo an excuse to continue not changing. And don't get me wrong, it's not just Nintendo that needs to change, and it's not just Nintendo who has a diehard fanbase, some of the other fanbases are equally guilty of preventing needed change. Dual audio is just about the easiest thing to do, and most other Japanese gaming companies now offer it for their localized games that have multiple audio tracks. All of the subtitles and audio tracks exist, all it would take to implement dual audio is relatively few lines of code and an option to download the voice and subtitle packs for other languages (assuming they don't already come on the game card). |
Just as tiring as it is to read all the Nintendo apologists, it is also to read the heaters nitpicking for every detail. Not that I mean for this particular topic, but just as we see the "defend everything from Nintendo", we also see the "hate everything Nintendo do", and at this point it is unfair from you to just call one side.
