Even Echoes is still a full blown Fire Emblem, it just includes other interesting features. I actually would be hyped if the Switch FE takes notes from that. But it would still have the FE strategic RPG gameplay as its cornerstone. |
Of course Echoes is a full blown Fire Emblem, but it's going beyond what is expected of it. It's really new and has some cool concepts. I mean the battles seems smaller to make sense of the exploration in terms of scale, but I do expect some areas with large battles when you approach a military might to be feared or a group of beats. It's kind of an RPG/Strategy hybrid. When you find an enemy the battle system IS the classic Fire Emblem battle grid.
Will the Switch take this further? Experiment with something new? Or be a classic take on Fire Emblem? This series really is one of Nintendo's best now. I wouldn't mind the series going for a T or M rating. Honestly, I feel most of it's audience are an older crowd and the series is so suggestive in ways that most kids wouldn't even have a clue. It's got some morbid shit in terms of context Lmao!
