There's plenty of Nintendo games that drop in price. Some, rather quickly.

The big games (the Marios, Zeldas, Pokemon, etc) sell forever. They're always in demand. Why lower the price? If you're a retailer or a corporation, your trying to make money. These aren't "front loaded" games. They're more timeless.

Meanwhile RE7 and other games are multiplat. You can watch their stories online if you're so inclined. Stores are going to be saturated with multiple versions on multiple consoles. In three months, some big franchises drop in price $20-$30. They're readily available for purchase in the second hand market because people play them, beat them, and trade them in. People tend to keep Nintendo games.

Pay attention to me!

To be fair, I have to say that today I found prices at $60~$55 for some of these Nintendo games with another dealer, but only if you buy for internet, which is fine with me. And you are right about it, I play RE mostrly because of the story.  Beat'em 3 times at most and then I put them to collect dust on my shelve (with the exception of RE4, Ive finish that mofo in every single possible way lol). And nintendo games have a lot of replayability (most of them at least).
