You think it's been cancelled??? I can't see that happening at all...keep in mind that when they presented the material the Wii U was already in dire straights.
In other words, nothing has changed dramatically.
Also, Nintendo isn't the type to waste creative efforts. If it was cancelled it would msot likely be funneled into aother project, like the security-camera demo for Wii U which blossomed into Slippy's side-game for Star Fox Zero.
