Not talking about titanfall's gameplay, just that zelda is a good book for developers. I don't think his opinion was that bad, was a bit annoying but he just thinks like one of those people who don't play Nintendo games and think that colorful games are just for kids. Pretty ignorant point of view but hey, everyone has the right to think what they want. |
My girlfriend feels the same way, the argument is that it makes terrible things not as relatable, so it's a way to mask the grittier content for the younger audience that might not be able to handle it as well compared to something like The Witcher 3 where the more realistic presentation relates more to the human condition. She also feels the same way about cartoons and anime. I like both styles(real and more cartoony) but I can't totally disaggree with her either in that if we have a kid, I'd be okay with the child playing Zelda at a young age and hide away games like The Witcher 3 or games that shoot and stab people all fucking day long. There are people that enjoy both types of content no matter how old they are and the people that can't relate to certain types of games, but something that's accessible to everybody might be seen as childish for some people, be it insecurity or personal preference.
