I guess this is only an issue in German speaking countries where NS is basically synonymous with Nazi.

When I see NS I don't even automatically assume it's for national socialism, unless it's NSBM, National-socialist black metal. The term National socialism is stupid anyways as the Nazi regime was not socialist in the slightest.

Actually they were, that's how they got elected. They just weren't very social to every demographic.
