It's always so odd to me when people act like graphical improvement is the only benefit of increased performance.
Beyond that, refinement of what works well is more important to me than shallow gimmicks mainly intended to draw people in before reaching an evolutionary dead end. You can have your cow milking, I'll take incremental improvements, and we can both be happy.
It's kind of like someone saying this is better because it's new and different!
I'm only interested in "new and different" if it's also proven to be as good as or better than what we already have. I don't want a car with square wheels just because no one has ever made a car with square wheels before.
