Nah, late support is an healthy thing. Those mew games aren't meant to push more consoles, but to make some profit from the existing userbase.
Also I don't see a significant software overlap. Main Switch games like BOTW, Odissey, Splatoon and Arms are clearly not meant for 3DS. It's not a NSMB2/U or SM3DL/3DW situation again.
