Nintendo is letting 3DS cannibalize Switch

I thought killing off one console in favor of the next was a bad thing? That seemed to be the stance before now

There will obviously be a transition period, since the difference in install base between the 3DS and the Switch will be too much to ignore. Eventually projects will focus entirely on the Switch. Not sure why anyone would expect otherwise...this is almost always the case with Nintendo handhelds.
