The 3DS choice is a bit odd, though I have two assumptions.

One is that the Gaiden game project started early enough that transition was not worth it. If we see a new Mario or Zelda launch on the 3DS then it's cannibalizing. It's probably why they have Amiibo with them, this is not a major project.

Two is that Koei Techmo games do not sell that much, so much that the roughly half a million that the Zelda 3DS port sold is rather good for them. We always talk about how Nintendo should let third parties have more freedom, this is the cost.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
