"But does it though? We haven't yet seen the main culprits for slowdowns like Blackbelly Skatepark, Rainmaker, and Bomb Rush, and who knows what of the new stuff causes issues. I imagine the ink cloud could be a culprit as well as possible AI bots increasing the number of characters on a map beyond the typical 8."
The only certainty here is that like the original Splatoon, it doesn't have problems under typical circumstances.
