I believe European countries military gizmos and gadgets come mostly from Europe. There's however one big vacuum where European countries have to rely on foregn powers, until Galileo is ready, which is positioning systems. Russia has Glonass and USA has GPS.
Even if USA would leave NATO, surely the countries would still trade.
