The best game will simply win. If Mario, or RDR2 or any other game turns out better, then more power to those games!
Though from what i've seen, both Mario and Breath of the Wild do look to be amazing games, regardless of nominations, and i'm sure when RDR2 gameplay is revealed that'll look great too!
