So it's safe to assume that the city is the hub world then?

Nah, city is just one world.

Honestly, aside from Breath of the Wild, Odyssey looks like one of the most promising Nintendo games in many years for me, as it suggests Nintendo might be moving away from the more conservative approach that defined (and IMHO limited) most of their Wii U projects and starting to invest some actual ambition in their first party software again.

IMO Nintendo saw that Wii U will be faile with small instal base, so they didn't want to make or realase more ambitious games and instead continue supporting with less ambitious projects, they definatly moved some more ambitious Wii U projects to Switch (like Retro game and probably some other games).

But odyssey is just mario64+sunshine clone. Ambition would be like zelda botw or ffxv or splatoon. Copying past installment is not ambition

Offcourse that Mario Oddyssey is not Mario64+Sunshine clone (even M64 and Sunshine are pretty different games), what's similar for Odyssey and Mario64/Sunshine is more open sandbox world with exploration. Mario Odyssey showed that game is very ambitious.

Honestly, if the Switch can run this at 60fps, (please display properly you bastard images) then its graphical capabilities are good enough for me.

Dont forget 1080p. :)

Speaking about this game, I cant wait to see next Shin'en game, they always push very hard Nintendo hardware.
