Unless you play for 20 hours consecutively, there really is no point for the charging grip in my opinion.
if I were to ever get another grip, it'd probably be the $10 grip that doesn't charge. It's cheaper and does exactly the same thing. If I want to charge the joycons, I can always snap it onto the switch or just get the more convenient charging base.
