| Einsam_Delphin said: The focus on motion controls and revealing it right after 1-2-Switch probably hurt this game a lot, as many people are writing it off as motion control gimmick garbage. Also this game looks lacking in content, features, and gameplay variety, plus how popular is the boxing genre? I think it can sell well but probably not a major hit and definitely not an eSport. |
Some here have put Splatoon in a similar light before and look where that got them. Not saying Arms is the next Splatoon, but I'm not gonna be surprised if Arms has more to it than at first glance. Again, this is Nintendo. They usually go by selling you on the concept and later pouring out more details prior to launch. It's been like that with BotW. Of course, it's zelda, but they first let you in on the open world concept starting at E3 and have just now showed more details on the story and such (and the release date of course). Same with 3D World. Of course there are a few exceptions like Smash and Kart since there's little need for introduction of their concepts, they'll start by giving you what you want (i.e., new tracks, new characters, new designs, etc.).
