Mario Kart 8 has no new tracks? Seemingly Confirmed by Japanese Presentation

Yeah, I'm even doubting there will be any paid DLC for new tracks at this point. Definitely not what I expected. But perhaps it's for the best, if MK9 isn't too far around the corner.

I'm expecting MK9 to be announced at E3 2018 and release holiday that year or spring 2019, so I just don't see how they could make another 16 dlc tracks while still having 32 to spare in such short amount of time.
