He would be a great choice, but even he has been getting criticism from gamers, especially those from the Smash community. As young as he is (age 46), he's also probably not experienced when it comes to managing a company (he does head Sora Ltd. though thats a smaller dev team). Iwata, at least, headed HAL Laboratory (and brought them out of debt) prior to being president at Nintendo. Plus, Sakurai was close friends with Iwata, who entrusted him with the Smash Bros. franchise.
