Nope. He is as delusional as Iwata was. Well... maybe not as delusional. Either way whoever is in charge of Nintendo needs to realize that the western market is far bigger than ever and Japanese games are considered niche now. Switch is Iwata's legacy so we won't know for sure until the next console (if there is one) before we really see Kimishima's vision on console hardware.

To me its actually the legacy of Gunpei Yokoi that is harming Nintendo now more than ever. Iwata embraced it when he made Wii with weak hardware and put in a new control scheme. He followed it up with Wii U, 3DS, and Switch and that is why we're looking at weak hardware with gimmicky controls.

I think that Gunpei Yokoi would have changed his philosophy after seeing how fast technology is evolving every year, vs how it was back in the 80s.
