Counting all the junk you mean?

Of the games that may actually be console sellers:

 * Zelda is a Wii U cross-gen title.
 * Mario Kart is a Wii U remaster.
 * Splatoon 2 will appeal to the same people as Splatoon 1 on Wii U.
 * Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will appeal to the same people as Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii U.
 * Mario Odyssey, maybe more appeal than 3D World... who knows.

I think it does look like more of the same as Wii U.  It will sell to Wii U owners that want a Splatoon sequel, etc. but there isn't much new here that will attract a wider audience than Wii U.

The five I was referring to were Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Zelda BotW and the 3 specific games were Skylanders Imaginators, Minecraft, and Just Dance. These three games, while you consider "junk" are high selling titles that console creator would be foolish not to have on their system.

The only thing you got right was Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Outside of that you're severely mistaken  on everything else, especially Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Let me lightly go over Xenoblade X despite you being the most fundamentally wrong with.

- Xenoblade Chronicles X was never a sequel to Xenoblade. It was just loosely connected. More connected than the other Xeno games, but still loosely connected.

- This is important because outside of certain aspects of gameplay, it was a different game. The original Xenoblade was much more story oriented than XCX. XCX did not appeal to everyone who liked Xenoblade. Xenoblade 2, on the other hand, is clearly going to be a sequel. That fans demanded.

Outside of that, saying Splatoon 2 will just appeal to the same audience as Splatoon is silly. That's like saying Pokemon Sun & Moon only appeals to those who played Pokemon X & Y. Fire Emblem Fates only appeals to those who played Fire emblem Awakening. It makes no sense. Good games with high reception tend to have more sucessful sequels that either maintain quality or improve upon it. No should really have to humor this.

-  " Mario Odyssey, maybe more appeal than 3D World... who knows." The answer is everyone... including you. Mario 3D World did very well and was highly acclaimed, but many people demanded a game closer to Galaxy and 64. For years. Throughout the Wii U's life, people have consistenly demanded a "true 3D Mario". Look at the reception to this game and see where those True 3D Mario comments are now.

There is so much more I can say, but I would feel like I was wasting my time because frankly, based on you went about talking these games, it seems that you are simply trying to downplay them.

I don't play Xenoblade so I don't know the history, but I own all of the other games mentioned on Wii U.

Sure folks bitched about 3D World not being a true 3D Mario, but did a lot of people pass on the Wii U because of that?  It was a 93 Meta Mario anyway.  If Wii U's games weren't attractive enough to old Nintendo fans i don't know that these will be that much more.
