No. Its Nintendo ignoring a dedicated fanbase. Sure it might not sell a million but by ignoring the fanbase there is no chance at that fanbase growing. Look at Fire Emblem. Pathetic sales for years but finaly started coming around. Final Fantasy didn't start getting big until 6. By not keeping the franchise going it is effectively killing any chance at the game catching on later and that is a shame. |
Hey I adore Metroid. I desperately want a new one. I'm just saying it doesn't have the cachet of other Nintendo properties.
I think a lot of folks want it because it's Nintendo's "adult" franchise. It's seen as a prestige game.
