Who's going to lug a Switch into the bathroom at work for a quick break? 3DS is easier to conceal and it turns off when you close it. Right back into your pocket. Who wants to bring a Switch onto a train and have someone steal it right out of their hands? It's just calling for attention at that size.

What kind of area do you live in? I see people with tablets just fine on trains.
