Completely new to home console gaming? No.
The Wii crowd? Possibly, but the pricing is making it hard, and marketing needs to succeed extremely well.
Traditional gamers? Nintendo fans are a given for the most part, but the rest are mostly a no. Pricing is probably the biggest issue, because gamers are quite price-conscious and Switch offers horrible value in many regards.
