Nintendo is more popular in the US than Europe. You only have to see that the larger European market as a whole takes far less of the 3DS than the US. Europe is fragmented into lots of seperate countries and Nintendo's costs are higher in marketing, transport and management.
I've a feeling rejection of the Switch will be far higher in Europe than US too. I think Europe is more value orientated so higher pricing for Switch in Europe will have a greater negative effect.
Because of this I think Europe will likely get a price reduction before the US.
