I notee in the op that I'm fearing of the manufacturing cost of these things...

High price doesn't always mean high manufacturing cost though!

I-phone costs 199-220$ to be made and apples sells it for more than 700$!

Wii costed 99$ and Nintendo sold it for 250$!

Ive said it before, I really hope this price is just nintendo being greedy and takeing it out on the die hard early adopters.

I hope its cheap to make, and they have room to price drop it, if it sells bad at its current price.

It would be bad, if they actually somehow spent too much on the joy-con's and HD rumble thingy, IR sensors and ect gimmicks, and they couldnt lower it for along time.

If not then Nintendo is utterly stupid to repeat the case of wii u...

I didn't bought wii u, as I couldn't afford it, I won't buy switch at that price! That doesn't make me a less loyal fan... I won't starve to purchase a switch!

( Although, if it's really 3ds successor too, then I can digest it, as I'm interested in both gaming ways, so instead of 500$ for two machines, only 300$ for one hybrid )

If something they had to learn from the wii u, that would be to make something that has the leeway for significant price cuts!
