I suspect "different feel" as if they're separate. I personally prefer this becuase having to ride the coat tails of the Avengers gets old. In regards to the Infinty War, having most if not all characters to make an apperance should reflect the comics. |
I'm fine with them wanting to be able to stand on their own, and i'm not saying they need to keep saying Avengers jokes 5-10 times like some of the films do, but it's just gotten to a point where it feels like the TV shows and films are so diconnected.
Luke Cage was better in this regard in that out of all the Netflix shows (Outside of JJ since I never saw that one so I don't know) in that it actually referenced the films quite a bit and used them around the plot, but they just feel largely disconnected for the most part with nothing there that really makes them feel like they're in the same universe outside of a few mostly vague references here and there or quick mentions.
I just want to see the TV characters interact with the films someday, or at least the films can at least reference the tv characters one time or involve them. I'm not saying shoehorn it in, but if it makes sense in the script and is a clever reference then why not go for it. The whole point behind the MCU is that these characters all co-exist in the same universe but the TV shows feel like they're in a seperate universe from the films sometimes.
