I'm with Platinum on this one. That's goes double if nier turns out well. Lord knows Microsoft cannot do anything for themselves and they do not own the sunset overdrive ip. The way the game sold as an exclusive they would be wise to go multiplatform with that gem of a franchise because i want to see a part two. If Microsoft was a proven developmental studio I would believe them but they aren't even on level with their competition but rather far beneath them.

We've been over this in another thread already, for all the talk you do about how great Sony's first party output is compared to Microsoft's, Sony only has one or two more internally developed new IP's this gen than MS, and that's counting TLG, which is debatable as a new IP. I haven't checked the numbers but I would guess the numbers are about the same for moneyhatted games/partnerships as well, and plain old first party sequels. Either you're very very wrong the way you talk up and down about the two companies, or Sony has just been very very lazy this gen with their lead, pick one.

And I'm aware MS doesn't own the Sunset IP, after all Sony wanting control of the IP is the only reason the PS4 didn't get the game as an exclusive.

Sony has more IP's that are strong and ready to go compared to Microsoft, but I will give it to you that they've taken some time to build up on their new IP's from notable studios. That takes time. Thats the difference....Sony has the studios. Microsoft has admitted to trying to replicate games like Uncharted and failing, hence why they moneyhatted tomb raider. They had no answer for it. Regardless, I love Halo and Gears so.....I will keep getting Xboxes for those two. I am just saying...last generation Sony trounced both Nintendo and Microsoft in new IP's developed regardless of party and their first party was still strong on the list. Microsoft came up short and ended up running out of gas after third party became less willing to make exclusives towards the end of the gen.

Also, yes...I know Sony wanted the IP to Sunset Overdrive and truthfully, they dont deserve it. That doesnt mean they dont make amazing games on their own. I mean Gravity Rush 2 maintains a solid 80 on metacritic, Horizon is coming, Days gone is coming, Last of Us 2 was announced, God of War 5 is coming, Spiderman is coming, The new Uncharted DLC is coming and much, much more. With Sony....they can feel confident in laying an IP to rest and making a new one. They can feel confident in their first party to work so they can tend to their second and third party with ease. Microsoft just checks up on the big three first party, which are just maintaining the same three IP's. The coalition was supposed to be an new IP company but Microsoft turned them into a Gears mainstay. What does this tell you about Microsofts thinking? They arent interested truthfully in being creative internally. They just want to pump out the same games until they burn out because lord knows when another hot new IP will come to them. They havent found one in two generations.

What is big that I am supposed to be waiting for from MS this year? Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3? All mid tier. I'll Play Halo Wars though. I tell you this...Microsoft is going to need to have a godly E3.
