Well, Microsoft started a trend.
I wish Sony and Nintendo didn't follow it. But if you're a business and you saw your competition doing it and the customers for the most part accepting it, you'd do it too. So I didn't blame Sony for it and I don't blame Nintendo for it now. Why should the competition get money for it and you don't right?
Still wish both Sony and Nintendo were free online from a customer stand point, but I understand.
If you want to blame anyone, blame Microsoft's fanbase. If they had revolted rather than accept it, Microsoft would have kept playing online free, and the other two competing platforms wouldn't have followed suit.
Microsoft pretty much exposed that there were enough people that are "slaves" to gaming that they could get away with it.
