Looks like Nintendo are being sensible about expectations after the wii u situation so if the launch isn't huge not much chance of a price drop which is all the more reason to pre-order. If it's a huge seller they will ramp up production.
If it really is portable, home and VR I really can see it being huge to be honest. So I can see a stock drought existing. However that said I will probably wait I've still got so many other games to play and will probably go with the first reasonable offer I see. Maybe an Easter promotion.
