I think they just stated the obvious, not necessarily a confirmation, but obviously since the Switch is partially (if not mostly) a handheld system Pokemon will be on the system. Bear in mine the Pokemon Company/ Gamefreak have no choice but to release on Nintendo systems as Nintendo partially owns Pokemon, so I think its just a given
