the highest number possible. The actual number doesnt matter if sony wasnt able to make more. It wasnt completly impossible to sell more, no matter how incredible hihg the demand would be. But restock was always sold out in a few hours and many people havnt even tried VR yet (youre not putting 400$ into a system unless you havnt expierenced how awesome its actually is).
Surveys already proove that the amount of people disliking VR that have tried it is extremly low. Most people that dislike Vr havnt tried it yet. The PSVR is certainly the best gaming device ever made by sony. The gap between normal gamging and VR gaming is like going from a radio football shot to a television football show.
Official numbers arnt given yet but the PSVR outsold both the rift and the vive ind just 3 month with those devies beeing 6 month longer on the market.
