Uh, PC games are typically way cheaper. That's the beauty of having multiple marketplaces competing. Even if a game is Steam exclusive, you can have 4, 5, + sites selling Steam keys. Where as on consoles if you want that digital game you typically pay whatever price the pub wants. You not buying day one won't change that, lol.

I mean, you see physical prices dropping to ~50% in a month or so due to the same reason. If someone is trying to be a savvy shopper, you can do that regardless of platform.
