The question is not for me, but I have the answer. Perception determines a console's success. Not games, not price, perception.

You didn't answer me, but when a console is considered a success, depends only about it's games. Nobody called PSP a success despite it outselling the hugely successful NES and Megadrive. Not only the games library was considered a little so-so, but also the game sales were bad.

Nobody called the PSP a success!?!

Also, Dreamcast had a much better library than PS2 for almost two years.
