Yeah I saw it after I wrote this one. Can't speak for Nintendo's motivations, but it's the Nintendo pre-Wii era red. Probably a testament to the change of direction they are making, or something in the likes of ''going back to roots'' which would explain why it's so present and vivid. I can see others appreciate it, if it's eye-cancer to you I suggest you go on the NA one

Edit: @vivster - I think the problem is the Super Mario Run ad, once you scroll down only the menu bars are red, which is 100x more bearable.
