| Nem said: I see we are still entertaining the possibility that this is a sucess. I don't mind waiting another year for it to sink in. Beeing sold out doesn't mean that there is alot of unmet demand. Much like what Nintendo often does with their amiibo and special editions. If there were lots of pending pre-orders, retailers would've placed bigger orders and Sony would've produced more. I don't see the buzz of unmet demand that happened with the PS4 and it's big numbers. People aren't talking about how awesome this is all over the internet or how you must have this. Sony is already telling us how they want to incorporate this in more mediums to increase demand. But hey... i bet i get flamed like usual for saying these obvious things that end up beeing true. |
Yeah, not really. You can be wrong about a million things and one of them being right. That doesn't mean taht if tha last one turns out to be the case that everything else was also right. Sure, psvr may fail for a number of reasons, but not (necessarily) because of what you said. I went to my local store in Cyprus and they told me that there's great demand but Sony couldn't send them a single device ever since it launched. They were told that they can place an order in January and even then they may not have any for them.
Now, the whole restricting supply to increase demand (or inability to produce more due to costs) could come and bite them in the ass, but placing an order isn't as easy as you make it sound and you're by no means saying obvious things. You could be right, you could be wrong but what you said is nothing more than a possibility.
