oh yeah? cause 80's bad cliches included bad acting by bad child actors and bad stories without depth, and black kids dying quick, and a douchebag boyfriend being douchebag and one dimensional monsters and lore without any meaning etc etc, and I don't see nothing like that here. Sorry but stranger things is not bad at all, it's like the perfect mix of stephen king and spielberg. This is the good side of the 80's with great twists.

And I'm too picky with my movies and series. I'm very happy that a good series is mainstream, I'm tired of the walking dead shit with the same story in every season.

It has the boyfriend being a doucebag. It also has the creepy teen turning out to be the good guy...and lets not forget the big evil corporation filled with evil people who do evil things...for some reason.
