Scenario 1: It was his goal to become infamous, so he will perceive my post as compliment.

Scenario 2: He wants to be liked and gets informed that he is far off the mark at the moment.

He's just being himself. He asked if he's known, not if he's liked. He's young, a bit impetuous, and has posted in anger/frustration in the past. I really don't think he's trolling. That's my take. In his last few threads/comments, he's mentioned that he loves the site, and has been complimentary towards it's user base. There are several permutations to the scenarios you mentioned. None of which justify such tactless replies. IMO. And no offense. To you or anybody else making the negative comments. Not looking for an argument. Just hoping for some restraint.
