It is like someone falling down, and giving them a hand up. You don't get points for being nice. The right thing to do is the right thing to do with no reward. He did it because if he didn't do it - it would be a huge negative. Like kicking the person that fell down.  Thus he has only one option.

Your statement is factually correct however it fails to note one important point that is puppeted repeatedly by liberal commentators.

Donald has stood up to his own party, the republican establishment over an issue that is directly related to corruption in washington.

He has gone against the tide of corruption and has not even taken office yet.

Paul Ryan and others are against this too, so it's hardly standing up to his entire party. 

And funny that people now realize that the bulk of Republican ideals are anti-middle class in reality.
