I was skeptical about Switch too, but once I understood where Nintendo is going with it I think it can quite successful. It`s the perfect console for millennials, for people from their early 20`s to their 30`s that are always on the go and could use some more complete gaming experiences with more versatility. The way I see it I think it`s much more a 3DS successor than an Wii U follow-up.
And 3DS always got third-party support. Actually, Nintendo handelhelds always had great 3rd party, even considering DS was competing with PSP, there were tons of great 3rd party games, and PSP was the only handelheld ever to be a real competition for a Nintendo handelheld.
I think if Nintendo market it well it will do it. I don`t expect another Wii, but if sells like 3DS will be already very good.
