I don't know man.
Are you saying the WiiU failed because it was under-powered relative to the competition? And the Switch will fail because it replicates that power discrepancy?
What about the Wii, DS, and 3DS? All noticeably or significantly under-powered relative to the competition, yet all outperformed that competition.
So surely there are other variables at play. I think the WiiU failed because 1) the price tag was too high, 2) the controller and interface were inaccessible, and 3) it didn't get enough in-demand first-party games.
If Nintendo can fix those problems it should be fine. Here's the thing: a super-powerful console would make all three of those things MORE difficult to fix. Going the way of low-cost and accessibility is the right path forward for Nintendo. Heck, it's the only path forward.
