Call Of Duty sold worse on Wii though and Minecraft wasn't on any Nintendo system until eariler this year and yet third party does matter since
third party support = more games more games = more hardware and software sales more hardware and software = more money for Nintendo Hell Black Ops 3 on PS4 which is the best selling PS4 game has sold more then double then the amount of copies of the best selling game on Wii U. I want games like Red Dead Redemption 2, South Park The Fracture But Whole, Mass Effect Androma, Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, and Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Switch since I would be able to take them on go and even though I am not an Assassin's Creed fan outside of 2 I would gladly buy it on the Switch to support third party support on Nintendo systems and for having an brand new AAA open world game I can take on the go. You don't have to buy Assassin's Creed if you don't want to but no one is making you buy it and it being on the Switch and doing decent numbers is a good thing in the end.
Also if we had third party support we would basically have no game droughts which was what killed the Wii U was going months with best at just a few virtual console releases in terms of game releases. |
DS and Wii got people into gaming. Minecraft, CoD, 360, PS3, Wii would have been less successful without DS.
MC, CoD, PS3, 360 would have sold less without Wii.
I'm sure those other games you mentioned are all great stuff but the majority of the people who own a real Nintendo console don't give a shit.
Normal people want Pokemon Go. They want Wii Fit and Brain Training. Marvel v Capcom's single digit million sales don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things.
There's no such thing as gaming droughts or gaming backlogs when you have great games.
"RDR2, ME, Bioshock etc" You think you want those games but you don't.
I dare you to play RDR2 twice. Play it and then immediately start again from the beginning and play it again. You won't. They aren't the games that people buy consoles for, especially not Nintendo consoles (real ones not the GC/WiiU).
