They didn't provide the bare minimum of support. No Zelda and they considering all the Wii U ports to Switch no Mario Kart or Smash Bros or Splatoon, since you could have just waited a year or two for Switch and get those anyway with extra content, when all other Nintendo systems had most of their games be exclusive to that platform for at least a decade. If they released a Zelda game for Wii U (and not a crap port of Switch Zelda) and kept Wii U games on Wii U then that could be considered support, but they didn't. They didn't just abandon the Wii U but took a huge dump on Wii U owners by making their purchase worthless.

Breath of the Wild is still coming to the Wii U and as I said in another thread, the Switch version is a port of the Wii U version, not the other way around.

I fail to see how these games supposedly being ported to the Switch makes a Wii U purchase worthless. The fun you had with the original versions of the games shouldn't be invalidated just because of them. Besides, you don't have to get the Switch versions if you don't want to.

Breath of the Wild is now mainly a Switch game, with the Wii U version having a limited release. And I could have just as much fun not buying the Wii U, wait for Switch and play those games on Switch. The only reason I bought the Wii U is because porting most games from one platform to another so soon is completely unheard of. Nintendo deliberately duped its customers by giving the illusion the Wii U would have proper library when in reality they just released beta versions of Switch games.
