Anybody who thinks Mario Maker isn't coming to Switch, whether it be a port or sequel, is naive.
At the last quarterly report, SMM had sold 3.73 million so lifetime sales should total 4-5 million.
The 3DS version is on track to crossing 1 million in Japan alone, with the rest of the world added on 2-3 million is very likely, if not more.
With both platforms combined 7-8 million doesn't seem unrealistic and i highly doubt Nintendo is just going to abandon the new concept with sales like that.
