That literally makes my "respect o meter" for people drop to near zero in an instant. Not even just Anime (Jap) things, but as someone from Ireland I have gotten it a few times where people have used the single phrase of Irish they know towards me, only for me to give a reply in gaeilge to the phrase to have them look completely blank faced at me. Most get a smile, nod and an "Amadán" towards them, they love an Irish word.
As for the OP though, just people being complete fucking idiots really gets me, I don't mind the majority of acts people do as long as they are determined that it is the best course of action for the person, but it's the people who know little about a subject but go into a situation as if they were gods gift to it, that winds me right up, working in IT and having people making suggestions like "perhaps you need to update my mouse drivers" because they've somehow managed to snap the cable from their Mouse, just like... fuck off, please.
