Sounds to me like what you're describing is a player who has gotten really good at the game. There are plenty of people who blast through Ninja Gaiden and Battletoads, but that doesn't mean those games are easy or poorly designed.
I will concede that the witcher has balancing issues, eee specially when it comes to magic, but its still some of the most fun I've had with combat in a 3d game.
