Idk seems like making excuses

The combination of Call of Duty, Battlefield, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, Dishonored, Mafia along with first holiday for Slim models and sub-$250 price tags should have put them up YOY.

As for the rumored figures, you should read the post that I originally responded to. He asked why the rumored numbers are considered bad, I said they arent bad but are lower than people thought they would be based on all the things they had going for them.

Hmmm....... what exactly is there to make excuses for?

It's very simple - you offered a bunch of titles that may not have had the selling power of games prior (I say this, because we still don't know if these numbers are legit). Yes, Slim/Mid Gen revisions can (and usually do) help a console's YoY situation, but you also have to have games that people want to buy the system for.

If these numbers prove true, that would be a logical explanation, not an excuse (unless you're trying to make a claim that things look grim for the PS4 and X1, in which case I would highly disagree, but I doubt you're going that far).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you asked someone how much PS4/XBO would sell in Nov a few months ago they would say the combination of those titles, new models and big price cuts would lead to solid YOY growth.

They didn't and both devices sold below most expectations if these numbers are true.
