It can be unfortunate in cases sure, but that's how it goes. As a person strongly associated with a political personality it's part and parcel of the deal.

If you're a famous person, the reality is you can't expect to walk around everywhere and never be bothered or spoken to. 

Sports stars likely get constantly harrassed for example. Especially in a city like New York City.
